Few people remain untouched by the experience of being in a space that has been crafted by hand from all natural materials, maybe it’s the way they connect us to a time when all we had access to was mud, wood and straw.
With their unassuming integrity, these structures have a very special atmosphere, and for those who want to create honest, earthy accommodations, natural builds are the obvious choice.
The Natural-Build Dream Team
ANTHONY specialises in iron-age roundhouse construction with a traditional thatch roof. He's one of those people that lives and breathes their craft, passionate and talented he can also create timber framed buildings, land-art, garden follies, outdoor dining spaces, shingles and hazel hurdles. That is of course, as long as it doesn't involve a straight piece of wood.
SAM is a craftsman joiner and sustainable builder specialising in straw bale and lime render. Depending on the size, his straw bale and lime rendered cabins are either built in-situ, or constructed on a chassis in his workshop and delivered for quick installation on site.
SIMON & JASMINE are iconic figures in off-grid living and roundhouse building, with their last build featuring on Grand Designs. Their roundhouses are a variation on the traditional style, much in use by contemporary natural eco-house builders. Made from a round wood frame with cob / straw bale walls, lime render and topped with turf, they are magical spaces to be in. Due to personal commitments, commissions are currently considered on an individual basis.
